    Does this work on the english pokemon lack and white 2 games? The image abovemis in japanese.

      It can, but it'll be illegal due to the region of game you're using for the name. Since name is generated upon Game Region now.

      It's up to the user for correcting the name of the Pokemon for the Event, or simply using a Card for your region. Alternatively, you can use your USA save with a Japanese game, acquire the Card and Pokemon so it generates it, then put the save back to your desired game region.
